We have used SmartCloud since it's inception.  Yes, it's had it's ups and downs but we have years of files and data in the software.  We were just notified that SmartCloud will be discontinued and shut down Sept 1, 2018.

The email that I expected came to day. Chirotouch will dump Smartcloud Sept 1 2018, if they hold to that date.  Since the merger with Chirotouch software support was spotty and it became apparent that Smartcloud was one day to be orphaned.  I was a FutureHealth customer early on and enjoyed the product, had good results.  We switched to Smartcloud on the recommendation of people I trusted at the time  but after the merger it has been all downhill.  It has been apparent that Chirotouch always planned to kill off Smartcloud.  I fully expect after it is gone Chirotouch will come out with their own cloud based system.  Now we have to evaluate options and decide which software to go with next.  To all the other software companies out there, lots of upset Smartcloud users are looking for options.  Go to it!
Title: This software is in crisis

Please do not invest in this software. I've been with them since the very beginning of EHR incentive madness. I purchased in 2010. We've had our ups and downs with the software over the years, but then the company sold out to ChiroTouch. I'm not real sure that SmartCloud has been given a lot of attention since the merge over 1 year ago.

Problems have become more frequent, over the last month problems are more common than regular operation of the software. They tell us they are trying to fix it, they say "we're sorry for your inconvenience". They don't know what this does to an office. I spend more time trying to do notes than I've ever spent in my 16 year career. I've reduced the number of patients I see and I'm losing time away from family. All because they can't get their s+}t together. I pay a monthly fee of $125 to watch a blue circle spin and spin. Class action lawsuits are made for companies like this one.

I have used this program for years and loved it until they merged with Chirotouch. In the last month, this program has cost me patients and money. I will explain below.
For the last month they program has been operating very slowly and many of the features doe not function at all that we use in our office daily. Their support line said they're "in crisis mode" and had to hire an outside company to try fix it. It would be nice to have some sort of ETA and to have the other issues I had looked at, but at this time all resources are being utilized for trying to fix the major problems making the entire thing incredibly slow.

The main thing that bothers me about this software is that after you pay the upfront cost, they have a monthly service contract. It was $124.50/month which I was fine with and was assured it was a price for life thing. Well, the salesman wasn't quite right on that. They apparently bumped that up in july this year. So, just be aware, that they will likely be upping that on you from time to time after purchasing.
The biggest problem I have with this company is their complete inability to get their billing done correctly. Initially, I gave them my autopay info and a month later I got an email stating they didn't have it. So I resubmitted it and they gave me a confirmation email that I would be billed. Long story short, 14 months later, I get an email that my account is past due (I figured it was because my card had recently been stolen/reissued). Nope. They messed up somehow and now I've got a $2200 bill for all the months they didn't charge me. Now if it were my business where I messed up like that, I would have written it off. However, they don't see it that way.

Regarding the software there are several pros and cons. I will lay them out below:
Pros:
It can be fast when its working properly.
There are macro settings for just about everything you need
Its easy to customize forms
Cons:
There are way too many drop downs resulting in a lot of clicks
The cloud system is very laggy on poor internet and even on fast internet you sit and wait for it to respond a lot.
It has to update a lot.
When there is an issue, customer support hold times are very long and not very helpful in the many times I've had to contact them.

Billing is very clunky and slow with too many pages to navigate and have to wait to load (again make sure you have comcast and the highest speed on a fast computer; it helps, but it still sucks)
Adding staff is a pain because you have to have them do it on their side
You're limited to 2 providers unless you want to pay more for each additional provider, which sucks if you want your massage therapists to be able to do SOAP notes etc.
My biggest complaint software wise is the number of drop downs. If you do any amount of orthopedic testing, it takes forever to enter the information/results. There is a drop down bar for each exam where you select the result, and then have several lines where you have to enter info. You can't preset it to a default negative and just change the positive ones, so it is a huge hassle, plus there are no macro's to put positive results (ie. where the pain was etc...)

Obviously, the issues mentioned above, have just been my experience with the company. In good faith, I just can't recommend this company to anybody and if I hadn't paid $10k to have it for my clinics, I would probably jump ship and start over as much of a pain that would be.
Lastly, be aware that there are a ton of apps that cost extra on top of the purchase price that they don't mention when you're buying.

Title: 6 years with SmartCloud after demoing Eclipse, ACOM, and Medisoft

I had looked at several EHR's for chiropractic billing, documentation, scheduling, and certification for attesting for Meaningful Use (Medicare), and this included demos from Eclipse, Medisoft, and ACOM.  Also, I demoed each of those more than once to come to my conclusion that SmartCloud was easier to begin implementation, they are a large company with several chiropractic clients that was going to be in business for several years to come, and they offered "a la carte" purchasing which was important because I wanted to start with the Scheduler and Documentation, and then later move into the Billing modules.   I have successfully attested for Meaningful Use (Stage 2) using the software's help videos, free webinars, and excessive training information. They have training modules for each category that you need to attest to and how to do this using the software.   Also, when there are specific areas of chiropractic such as Meaningful Use changes coming soon, they produce several free webinars to ask questions and provide quick, detailed information on what to do for the changes.   The customer support and "ideas" area are very responsive with any issues that I have come across. And you can vote on specific ideas that users such as myself would like to see added to the software. As an idea accumulates more points, it has priority to be added in future updates.   Overall, you can financially work yourself into the program because you can purchase it in stages, implement it easily using the training videos, and run this from your home, office, and even check on it on vacation (when you should' be checking on it). :)
